Killed By Gas
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A ) HAU NGHIA PROVINCE, January 12. N on-toxic gas and smoke has killed one Australian and sent six others to hospital during the current “Operation Crimp” in Vietnam. The Australians are using smoke and tear-gas grenades to flush out the massive underground labyrinth they discovered during the operation. The dead man, although wearing a gas mask, was overcome by the combination of gas and smoke while searching one of the tunnels. He died of asphyxiation.
