N.Z. MEAT INSPECTORS

Recruiting In U.S. (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 10. United States veterinary surgeons are being recruited as meat inspectors by the New Zealand Department of Agriculture. Dr. O. D. Baker, an American who arrived in Auckland in the Matson liner Monterey today to join the department as a meat inspector in Auckland, said a number of American veterinap' surgeons were interested in coming to New Zealand. Dr. Baker has a four-year contract with the department. He was formerly with the Bureau of Meat Inspection in California.
