A 93-YEAR-OLD GRANDMOTHER, Mrs Emily Cole, sweeping the deck of the Gallunure, a 40ft home-made trimaran, in which she is sailing to New Zealand with her family. The trimaran sailed from Mombasa, Kenya, on January 8. It is commanded by Mrs Cole’s son, Commander G. Cole, a former officer of the Royal Navy, and the crew comprises Commander Cole’s wife, their son, Charles, aged 20, and their daughter, Jane, aged 23. The family hopes to settle in New Zealand.
