FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone in the north Tasman Sea is moving north-eastwards and a weak cold front is moving north-eastwards over New Zealand followed by cooler southwesterlies. Forecast: Canterbury, the Kaikoura coast, and the Marlborough Sounds.—Fresh south-westerlies moderating; isolated light showers at first about the coast; becoming partly cloudy later in the morning; cool temperatures. Outlook: Fine at first but a few showers developing during the day in the east. Central Marlborough and Nelson.—Light variable winds; fine with moderate temperatures. Outlook: Fine.
