ESCAPING CHARGE

4 Women Remanded (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Jan. 10. Four inmates of the Dunedin Women’s Prison appeared before Mr J. D. Murray, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today charged with escaping from custody, aggravated assault and wilful damage. All were remanded for a week. They are Carol Anne Heta, aged 19. Lona Beatrice Morrissey, aged 18, Rosemarie Naera. aged 19, and Mattie Mateara Rewiti, aged 23. On the application of the police they were remanded. The Crown Solicitor would be dealing with the case, said Senior Sergeant R. M. Schwass.
