SEAHORSES LEAVE
Gift To L.A. Aquariums f.V.Z. Press Association! NAPIER, Jan. 10. I Fifty seahorses left Napier at 4.50 p.m. today on the. first leg of their journey to' equanums in Los Angeles. The seahorses were temporarily delayed until the| Hawke’s Bay aquarium’s curator. Mr G. L. Dine, had ob-' tained a customs clearance i for the consignment. He was notified that a veterinary surgeon must first certify the; seahorses free of disease. The seahorses were packed In plastic bags and boxes for the flight. The seahorses are being supplied free by the aquarium tb Los Angeles importers, who saw the seahorses in Napier last year. They are the first to be exported from New Zealand.
