‘Heavy Bombing Of Laos’
(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) SAIGON, January 10. American planes are involved in a heavy bombing campaign in Laos to slow down North Vietnam’s transhipment of men and equipment to South Vietnam, informed sources said.
The Associated Press quoted the sources as saying up to 300 planes a day are dropping nearly 1000 tons of bombs and rockets on waterborne traffic and trucks moving down newly-constructed roads. The A.P. said Communist troops and supplies are under day and night attack almost las soon as they get into Laos from North Vietnam. Russia officially accused the United States last night of bombing Laos and “violating the neutrality” of Cambodia. United Press International ‘ reported.
