Poor Starting., Turning At Papanui Pool
Poor turning and starting were the only bad features of the inter-club swimming events held at the Papanui pool on Saturday. For most of Canterbury’s leading swimmers. it provided a good workout for the South Island championships, to be held in Dunedin later this month.
The Canterbury Swimming Coaches' Committee has arranged a special clinic for January 16 at Wharenui, to be held by the professional coach, Mr P. Parkhouse, to “iron out” the faults. All swimmers entered for the Canterbury championships, and their coaches, have been invited to attend the clinic.
