Sets Flown To Vietnam

The United States has airlifted into South Vietnam its first consignment of television sets. The Americans will thus be the world’s first combat troops to have their own television service.

The service is expected to begin on January 21, when aircraft circling over Saigon will beam programmes in English and Vietnamese over a 150-mile radius.

Accoutancy Pass.—Mr G. H. Wicks of Christchurch, obtained a pass in managerial ecoomics in examinations held last year by the Institute of Cost Accountants.
