Body Found In Sea
The name of a 41-year-old man found floating in the sea near rocks at Governor’s Bay on Saturday has not yet been released by the police. The man was an Englishman, and his relatives in England have not yet been informed.
i The man was found by two boys about noon. They pulled the body ashore, and Miss Nancy Campbell, a resident of Governor’s Bay, applied artificial resuscitation without result. The man had last been seen about 11 a.m. He was with a family, and was gathering pipis. The Lyttelton police, who will prepare a report for the Coroner, say there are no suspicious circumstances.
