'•pedal Crspdt. N.ZPA.) LAGOS, Jan. 9.
The Australian authorities in Lagos are being treated coolly by the Nigerian Government after an announcement by the Australian Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies, that his country would be represented at the Lagos Commonwealth Prime Ministers’ conference by an observer rather than a representative.
Informed sources also say that the status of the Australian observer. Mr J. VV. Cutnes, is under discussion, particularly on the question of whether he would be eligible to attend restricted conference sessions.
