PUBLIC NOTICES CANTERBURY SOCIETY OF ARTS C.S.A.-GUTHREY TRAVEL AWARD Applications for this Award must be in the hands of the Secretary, P.O. Box 772 by 4 p.m. on Friday, January 18. 1966. The purpose of the Award which covers the cost of air travel to and within Australia is to enable a Canterbury artist to study the work in Australian galleries. Application forms can be obtained from the Secretary. 3545 AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL LIGHTING OF FIRES PUBLIC NOTICE is given under Sections 20 and 21 of the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1955, that the lighting of fires in the open in the whole of the Amuri County Area Is prohibited. While this order is in force no person shall set on fire in the open air any trees or timber (whether standing or not), bracken, flax, gorse, broom, lupin, grass, stubble or other plants whatsoever or any debris from forest or land clearing operations or any other combustible material whatsoever except pursuant to a written permit. Students from overseas requiring ad eundem admission at University Entrance standard should apply to the University Grants Committee, P.O. Box 8035, Wellington, but may enrol for classes while their applications are pending. Those requiring ad eundem admission at a standard above University Entrance should apply to the undersigned before their enrolling days if possible. All fees which cannot be claimed under a bursary or other award must be paid at the time of enrolment. There is an enrolment fee of £lO which is remitted if enrolment is com pleted on the specified date. Lectures commence on Monday, March 7.
