Circus Postponed N.Z. Tour
Ashton Circus, which was to arrive in Christchurch on January 21 to begin a New Zealand tour, has postponed its visit because of shipping difficulties.
Mr K. Young, ringmaster and business manager for the circus, said yesterday the earliest a ship could arrive would be January 29 or 30. This would be much too late to begin a New Zealand tour. It was now planned to bring the circus to New Zealand late in the spring. It would open in Auckland, working south, and coming to Christchurch about Christmas.
