Assignment In Thailand

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 6. Fourteen Army engineers will leave Whenuapai tomorrow for Thailand to build 140 miles of badly needed roads. The task is expected to take three years and the men will live with their families in a camp which the Thais have built for them. The engineers will train local people to run the heavy earth-moving equipment used to build roads. They hope to leave behind them an experienced pool of heavy construction workers.
