South America Buys N.Z. Seed
New Zealand seeds are becoming increasingly popular in South America, as instanced by a large order for certified cowgrass placed recently with Dalgety and New Zealand Loan Ltd. The firm described the order as one of the largest ever placed for cowgrass. It was to be supplied mainly from the Nelson and Marlborough districts. Other categories of small seeds were also to be included in the same shipment In a recent tender, one South American country purchased 1500 tons of pasture seed valued at close on £750,000 from Europe, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
