(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 16. A 50-year-old housewife was told by Mr M. C. AsUey, today that she was shrewd, plausible and no stranger to. crime. Emjly Gerrard appeared for sentence on five charges of forgery’and five of uttering, and was gaoled for nine months. Last’week Gerrard was convicted on. the charges when the Court was told she opened a family budget account for clothing in a city store and used, her daughter’s name on the credit forms.
