Climbing For Police
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 16, . The Auckland police search and rescue group Will learn rock climbing and safety ■techniques on cliffs at the tip of Whangaparoa Peninsula on Thursday under the direction of the Special Air Service Squadron expert, Warrant Officer I. A. G. Shaw. The exercise, in which 30 or more police will take part, was specially set up by arrangement with the Army after a difficult police rescue of a boy stranded several hundred feet up. the face of Mount Wellington a few weeks ago.
