Accounts of British Office Supplies (New Zealand), Ltd., for the year to March 31, confirm the preliminary announcement that consolidated net profit was £36,216, against £34,925 the previous year—a rise of 4 per cent The result Is reached after provision of £6505 (£2626) for depreciation and £34,292 (£35,364) for tax, less £863 (£440) over-provision the previous year. . Steady dividend of 10 per cent takes £17,500 and is covered 2.1 times. Paid capital is unchanged at £175,000. and reserves amount to £53,905 (£35,189), making shareholders’ funds £228,905 (£210,189). An additional amount of capital funds, £16,768, represents advance subscriptions to the convertible note issue made in April, 1964. The issue was made at par and raised £52,500. Current Assets Current assets £198,445 (£173,682), current liabilities £68,224 (£57,135), fixed assets £74,739 (£52,929), goodwill £40,713 (£40,713). ■ Current assets include stocks £115,078 (£100,717) and debtors £66,599 (£72,465). Current liabilities include bank overdraft £35,772 (£10,041) and creditors £18,954 (£29,045). During the year the company occupied new offices and showroom in Lambton quay, Wellington. In December, last year, it bought more freehold land and buildings at Naenae for £11,565, acquiring 2000 additional square feet of factory space.
