Market Still Holds Firm In Trading
The market still held firm in trading yesterday, but the tone was not quite so buoyant as the day before. Overseas stocks, with the opening of the Australian exchanges after the long holiday week-end, were firmer. Golden Bay Cement and Wilson Cement B gained ground. Armstrong and Springhall rose a further 2s to 60s, while Bell Radio reached a new peak of 37s and Pye Electronics moved up to 725.
