Allegations Denied
An article In “The’ Press” on Monday containing statements made by the club captain of the Air Force Rugby Club on the senior reserve match between Air Force and Lincoln College is referred to in a statement by Wing Commander J. Rees. station sports officer at Wigram. Wing Commander Rees says: “The R.N.ZA.F. Wigram Rugby Club dissociated themselves from any and all statements in the article in question, which were made without the knowledge of the club and without the authority of the committee. The Wigram Club considers that it has no grounds for complaint over the game which was won by the better team. A written explanation to this effect is being forwarded to Lincoln College.”
