WORLD TOUR

£lBBl Loss Reported (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 16. The New Zealand soccer team’s world tour this year will probably result in a net loss of £lBBl. This figure was quoted by the treasurer of the New Zealand Football Association (Mr J. Cowie) in a special statement tonight. He said amounts from some matches were still to be received, but the figure quoted took into account those sums. Final in Wellington An application by Auckland to stage this year's Chatham Cup final on its new ground. Newmarket Park, was rejected by the council. Mr G. Jackson said the application was too late and the association should carry on as normal and stage the match in Wellington. Mr J. K. Smith said the council had given Auckland two games to celebrate the opening of its new park. (The management committee of the Canterbury Football Association decided last evening to protest if the final was allocated to, Auckland.)

Easy abortions and the cynical attitude of young people towards the idea of bringing up a family in Hungary could lead to the extinction of the Hungarian people, according to the leading Hungarian literary weekly newspaper “Elet Es Irodalom.”— (Reuter).
