BEER IS BEST
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, June 15.
Beer drinkers have less chanee of suffering tooth decay than soft drink addicts, according to a recent experiment at Guy’s Hospital, London, “The Times” reported. Young healthy teeth were immersed in different solutions for six weeks after which time only the teeth in the beer were unharmed. Teeth that had been placed in the soft drinks —including a glucose fruit drink, a lemon-juice type drink and several “lolly water” solutions—not only decalcified, but developed cavities.
