NEW HARRIER COURSE.—One of the specially strengthened obstacles on the new harrier course at Ashley, near the state forest, being negotiated by P. Marks (University). The course, which has been planned for this year’s New Zealand championships, will be given its first competitive trial on Saturday when the Jane Patterson memorial events are held. Marks is clearing one of the many post and rail jumps that have been erected on the two-mile circuit.
