Senior Players As League Referees

r pHE Marist Rugby League x Club is assisting schoolboy football in a praiseworthy manner by providing several referees each Saturday morning. Although the club has only two schoolboy teams, in the under 10 and under 11 grades, five members of the senior team are helping the under-age players. B. R. M; Schwass, P. L. P. -Doig, B. R. P. Curtain, J. D. M. Walshe and G.'R. T. Tuaine

are regular referees at the Showgrounds. Another member of the club, Mr L. J. P. Worters, has also assisted in this necessary work. Another pleasing feature of the schoolboys draw is the refereeing being done by the Kiwi, J. A. Bond (Papanui). Two of last year’s schoolboy Kiwi team, D. J. Carroll and G. R. Cooksley, have volunteered for service too. .
