Music Teachers’ Concert Series
Folk-songs, operatic arias and lieder were heard at the first of the current series of musical evenings, held by the Christchurch Society of Registered Music Teachers. Mrs Edna Boyd-Wilson accompanied herself on the Irish harp in a group of Hebridean and Irish folksongs.
Mr R. Macann’s recital included classical lieder and arias by Handel and Mozart Dr. Vernon Griffiths gave a brief account of bis life in music.
