HARVESTING COCKSFOOT.—This photograph shows the platform mounted in front of the header harvester when cocksfoot is harvested on the property of Messrs B. S. and P. G. Morrison at Sheffield. The platform, with angle iron frame, has corrugated iron sides and a plywood floor. Stocks are lifted bodily on to the platform. One man places a sheaf on a small table where he cuts the band, and another man feeds the material off his arm into the header.
