ROBERT HOLT ISSUE
5s Shares At ls6d Premium
The public issue by Robert Holt and Sons, Ltd., Napier, of 400,000 5s shares will be made at Is 6d premium. Terms are: 3s 6d on application, 3s on allotment. New shares will rank for dividend from July 1, 1961. After the issue paid capital will be £400,000, reserves about £371,211. Profit over the last five years has moved as follows: 1956, £38.358: 1957, £46.799; 1958, £53,945; 1959, £45.864: 1960. £44.220. The directors expect to pay a dividend of 7J per cent, on the increased capital.
Thiess Holdings Move Into WA. Thiess Holdings, Ltd., Bris-bane-based civil engineer, has taken over Perron Brothers Pty., the largest earth moving company in Western Australia. As purchase price, Thiess has allotted at a “substantial premium” 183.784 5s ordinary and 1.062,000 5s deferred ordinary shares. Face value of this issue increases paid capital by £311,446 to £1.953,458. Stock Exchange listing of the newly-created deferred ordinary’ will be sought after July, 1963. directors state. The ordinary shares will rank for dividend from last January 1, and the deferred ordinary from July 1, 1958.
Feltex N.Z.—Recommended final dividend is 7J per cent.. making 12) per cent, (unchanged) for the year, ex July 27—PA.
Claude Neon N.Z.—An interim dividend of 4 per cent. (unchanged) is payable on May 31. ex May 28. Capital has been increased since last year by a one-for-three bonus issue. Total payment last year was 12 per eent., including bonus 2 per cent.—P.A. Reid N.Z. Rubber.—The 4 per cent, interim dividend Is payable on June 21. ex June 8. Total payment last year was 9 per cent. the yuan in relation to the dollar has been upward since 1958.
