STREET NAMES APPROVED

Harewood Housing Block Six street names have been approved by the Waimairi County Council for the new Harewood housing block close to Greers road. They are Stackhouse avenue, and Tullett, Hockey, Armitage, Nunweek, and Blanray streets.

The chairman (Cr. J. I Colhgani told a meeting of the council that Stackhouse , avenue was named after a former council member who for several years had represented the Wairarapa riding. "It was at my instigation,” ■said Cr. Colligan.
