Fish Supplies

All fishing fleets were out yesterday and plentiful supplies are expected to be available in the Christchurch fish market today. Medium supplies of most fish were available yesterday. Flounders sold in fish shops at 3s fid a pound and soles at 2s 9d. Both were scarce. There were very few brill and these sold at 2s 9d a pound. Gurnard sold at 2s 3d to 2s 6d a pound, tarakihi at 3s 3d to 3s 6d, boneless groper at 4s 6d to 4s 9d, red cod fillets at 2s 6d, bream at 3s, ling at 2s fid and kingfish at 3s. A few oysters ~sold at 2s 3d a dozen.
