Loans To Sports Clubs
Loans to sports clubs approved by the City Council last evening were:—
Beckenham Bowling Club. £l5OO towards the cost of a new pavilion; Harrington Bowling Club, £1250 for extensions to the pavilion and relaying the floor in its social room for indoor bowls; Canterbury Basketball Association £l5OO towards the cost of replacing its pavilion in South Hagley Park; St. Albans Swimming Club, an extension of the proposed loan of £450 to an amount estimated at £550 for the club’s share of installing filtration plant and pool cleaning equipment at the St. Albans bath*.
