(Ni. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 17. A meeting of a joint ccvnmittee of the Municipal Association and the Counties’ Association yesterday discussed proposals to chanee the date of local body elections from mid-November to the second Saturday in October to ensure councils can take office before the Christmas vacation.
The secretary of the Municipal Association (Mr C. L. Bishop) said today that the Government was considering the matter.
