NORTH RAILWAY LINE OPEN
New Slip Across Road
The railway line between Claverly and Oaro has now been cleared of slips. The first train to run was the goods express for Picton, which left at 8 p.m. yesterday. Passengers coming south from Kaikoura by bus yesterday were held up for an hour when another slip occurred between Oaro and Hundalee. Enough of the slip was soon cleared, however, to let the bus through. Work, men are still dealing with this new slip.
