The Queensland Turf Club will stage the race to celebrate the centenary of the club. The 1960 Melbourne Centenary Cup was worth £25.000 —the highest prize money ever offered for a race in Australia. This year's Brisbane Cup, to be run at Eagle Fann on June 12. will be worth £12.315. Including ■ 300 gns trophy.
