1963 Brisbane Cup Worth £20,000
(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) BRISBANE, May 16. The 1963 Brisbane Cup will be worth £20.000, making it the richest race in Queensland and the second richest in Australia. The Queensland Turf Club will stage the race to celebrate the centenary of the club. The 1960 Melbourne Centenary Cup was worth £25.000 —the highest prize money ever offered for a race in Australia. This year's Brisbane Cup, to be run at Eagle Fann on June 12. will be worth £12.315. Including ■ 300 gns trophy.
