Manufacturers To Confer

The 1961 conference of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation to be held in Wellington from October 11 to October 13 will be officially opened by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake). Representatives from the Canterbury. Auckland, Wellington and Otago-Southland Manufacturers’ Associations will be at the conference. These four organisations represent 2500 manufacturing firms throughout New Zealand. Leading industrialists will speak at the conference and delegates will be given background papers before the conference starts. Background papers for the New Zealand manufacturers’ conference were issued last year for the first time. They followed a pattern set earlier in the year by the industrial development conference.
