Rook Pie No Longer Popular

Rook pie which for centuries has been a traditional North Lincolnshire dish at this time of the year is falling out of favour because the "younger generation cannot be bothered with its preparation and finds it easier to buy a ready-cooked steak pie or a frozen meal." One game dealer who has sold thousands of dressed rooks says there is now no market and he is not selling any at all today. They are being given aw a* to friends of farmers and to tenants.
