Thirty Possibles Named

Thirty harriers have been named by the Canterbury barrier selectors (Messrs G. H. Farmer and W. A. Kennedy) as having Impressed as likely nominees for senior and junior representative teams to compete In the New Zealand championships at Wingatul on August 19. The Hat. based on the University club's Hagley steeplechase relay. Includes 24 seniors and six juniors. After the Kennett Cup events, when the first junior race is held, said Mr Kennedy, the selectors would have a better line on the Juniors. It was evident the selectors were already giving some consideration to the future composition of the province'* team*, said the chairman of the management committee (Mr D. Clibbom).
