Baptists’ Appeal

The appeal launched by the Baptist Church as part of its annual self-denial week held from April 30 to May 7 raised £3163 in the Canter-bury-Westland district. With returns still to come in from three centres the amount collected is expected to be the greatest received in a normal year. This year’s total will average about £1 15s for each member of the Baptist Association in the two provinces.
