GRANDSON RESCUED
Woman Jumps Into Harbour
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 15. A 60-year-old woman dived fully clothed into Wellington Harbour late this afternoon to rescue her three and a half-year-old grandson, who was in danger of drowning She is Mrs Millie Simon, of Glenburvie terrace. Wellington. Mrs Simon was fishing off Queen’s Wharf with her daughter. Mrs Anua Dashwood, and her grandson. Dashwood Dashwood. Soon after 5 p.m. young Dashwood lost his balance and fell about 5 feet into the harbour. Mrs Simon acted quickly and dived to the boy’s rescue treading water till help arrived. A seaman from the Parera. Mr John Roche, clambered on to a low pile to reach Mrs Simon and dragged her back to the wharf. Neither the boy nor Mrs Simon were harmed.
