228 Deaths Reported

tN 2 PA -Reuter—Corwrtg fit) CADDA (East Pakistan), May 14.

At least 228 died as a result of the cyclone which hit east Pakistan last week. The island of Noakhali, which was receiving medical supplies and food by air, reported 59 deaths. British United Press said. Officials said that the most frightening aspect of the damage was the destruction of standing crops, which were to have been harvested in a few weeks’ time.
