This would apply during the preliminary experimental period of a month after the start of television transmissions in each of these cities, he said Christchurch is scheduled to have its first television transmission on June 1 and Wellington. on July 1. Because June 1 is a Thursday, not a scheduled day for television, the first week of television in Christchurch will be Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, thereafter reverting to normal transmission days.
