Child Drowned In Pool
(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, May 14. A child was drowned when she wandered into a private swimming pool on the property of Mr D. G. Todhunter, Glen Alton, Clarence Bridge, late on Friday afternoon. She was: Karen Sally Smith, aged 2, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. A. Smith. Mr Smith is a farmhand. Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was applied by Mr Todhuntcr without success until a doctor arrived from Kaikoura.
