FEDERATION OF PLAY CENTRES
A three-day conference of the New Zealand Federation of Nursery Play Centres’ Associations, being held in Wellington ended yesterday. The delegation from Christchurch comprised: Policy members. Mrs E. B. Dalmer: delegates, Mesdames R. S. Royds. J. Chant. Mr B. G. Dingwall; observers, Mesdames A. Densem, A. Long The resignation of Mrs M Gage was received with regret recently. Mrs Gage, who recently returned to New Zealand after MJ months overseas. has been actively associated with play centre work for more than 12 years, Probationary appointments at the' new centre at Harewood are:—Joint supervisors. Mesdames H. Reynolds, F Cowan. A public meeting at Waipara was addressed by Mrs M. S. Royds (N.P.CA. president) before the affiliation to the association of an interested group of parents. Preparations for opening a centre at Belfast are developing and inquiries regarding play centre formation have been received from Otira and Sheffield.
