Australia Beat Lancashire

LONDON. May 12 The Australian team had its first win of the English tour today, when it beat Lancashire by four wickets.

The Australians made 113 runs in 93 minutes with the loss of six wickets. This score was made with only seven minutes to spore. Tension mounted when, with 12 minutes remaining and nine runs needed for victory. the Lancashire fast bowler. B. Statham was recalled to the bowling crease Statham let go a full toss at G. McKenzie who casually turned it to the square leg fence. Then C. Burge leg-glanced K. Higgs for 4 and the match was over. The first 50 took 62 minutes, but the second came after 28 minutes. The most disturbing feature of the Australians' cricket, however, was the fielding.
