LONDON, May 11. The Nawab of Pataudl, the 20-year-old son of a former England and India test player, hit a brilliant 106 for Oxford University against the county champions, Yorkshire, today. Scores in other county matches were : At the Oval.—Surrey four for 356 declared and two for 101 (M. Stewart 60 not out) v. Hampshire 190 (H. Horton 85 not out). At Brentwood.—Essex 326 and six for 126 v. Middlesex 172. At Edgbaston.—Scotland 142 and five for 281 (M. Denness 89, D. Barr 62 not out) v. Warwickshire 180 (T. Cartwright 73, A Dewar seven for 71). At Hove.—Sussex six for 332 declared and two for 49 v. Glamorgan eight for 335 declared (W. Parkhouse 75. B. Hedges 61, J. Pressdee 87). At Oxford.—Yorkshire four for 286 declared and seven for 122 v. Oxford University 270 (Nawab of Pataudi 106). At Cambridge. Cambridge University 158 and 187 v. Leicestershire 8 for 234 declared. At Derby.—Derbyshire 167 and four for 228 <D. Millner 80, H. Johnson 55) v. Kent 225 (C. Cowdrey 74, A. Dixon 54, H. Rhodes five for 59). At Worcester. Worcestershire 231 and none for 21 beat Nottinghamshire 138 and 113 (N. Gifford four for 5) by 10 wickets.
