Fined For Stealing Gas

WELLINGTON. May 12.
Appearing for sentence in the Magistrate’s Court today on a charge of stealing 159.700 cubic feet of gas from the Wellington Gas Company. Henry Alfred Tamm, aged 54. nightwatchman, was fined £25, with costs £1 10s, by Mr J. B. Thomson, SM. He was also ordered to pay the company £BO Ils. the value of the stolen gas. The Magistrate said Tamm had been stealing gas for seven years.
