Snow Prevents Landing
(N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright) KATMANDU, May 12. An International Red Cross plane, sent to pick up Sir Edmund Hillary from an airstrip at Mingbo. near Mount Everest, was unable to land yesterday because of snow and a strong wind, the British United Press reported Sir Edmund Hillary suffered a mild stroke over the week-end when he was attempting to climb Mount Makalu. He Is expected to reach Mingbo soon. The pilot of the plane said that visibility was almost nil He said he hoped to try again today.
