IN Z.P A -Reuter—Copyright) DJAKARTA, May 12 Eleven persons have died as a result of volcanic eruptions on Mt. Merapi in Central Java. Djakarta radio said today. The volcano has been blasting lava. rock, and ash from its 9000 ft high crater for the las' month. Twenty other persons, seriously injured, are in hospital. Two of the 11 were killed by a rain of lava on May 8 and the other nine asphyxiated by a searing cloud of gas. The radio said the Merapi eruption was followed by earthquakes throughout most of Central Java.

The Governor yesterday cabled the central Government in Djakarta sayins "hat the situation around Merapi was growing more critical and urgently requesting more funds for relief measures.
