Novel Car Rally

An interesting innovation to rallying in Canterbury was provided recently when the Forces Motoring Club held a "photographic rally.” In this event, each competitor was handed a sheet of 12 photographs and a map, and was expected to follow the course taken by the photographer.

The event had to be completed with a minimum of mileage, all questions answered (to ensure the competitor had actually visited the areas photographed).

Results were: — R. Smith (Ford VB>, 18 points lost, 1; M. Gibbison (A3O), 22, 2; E. Gledhill (Riley), 28, 3; P. Lee (Vauxhall), 33, 4; R. Riach (A4O), 39. 5; A. Ansell (A4O), 44. 6.
