Hui At Manutuke.— After an all-night trip from Auckland, the first of the thousands of Maoris expec+ed to attend the Hui Topu arrived at Manutuke yesterday morning. Sacks of potatoes were fed into a mechanical peeler, 140 plum duffs were taken from one of the four large steam cookers and a gang of men worked at cutting up carcases of beef. Long tables, in the huge marquee 100 ft by 110 ft. will seat hundreds at a meal.—(P.A.)
