COMMERCIAL Australian Shares Again Weak On ’Change

Most Australian shares traded in New Zealand yesterday tended to weaken. Ampol 1967 notes were fractionally firmer, but the shares were weaker. All other price movements by Australian issues were downward.

G. J. Coles shares sold at Ils 3d in Auckland, a drop of 2d in a day, and 6d in a week. The rights were also weaker. 8.H.P., Cox Bros., L. J. Hooker rights, Reid Murray and Woolworths were other issues traded at lower prices.

Mosgiel shares fetched 20s, unchanged, in Dunedin, but 21s in Wellington. Hellaby’s Meat were Is up in Auckland. Other price movements among New Zealand issues were mainly downward. Tekau Wool, in first business since March 30, fell from 33s 6d to 325. Other falls were small.
